Free AI visibility checker

When your customers ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude for what you sell, does your brand come up? Enter your website and find out in about a minute.

5 customer questions × 3 AI engines, with web search on. We never post or send anything on your behalf.

How the checker works

  1. Step 1

    We read your homepage

From your own site we work out what you sell, who you compete with, and the questions a potential customer would ask an AI assistant.

  2. Step 2

    We ask three AI engines

Each of five unbranded questions goes to ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude with web search on, the way a real customer would ask.

  3. Step 3

    You see who gets recommended

For every answer we check whether your brand is named, and which competitors the AI recommends instead.

How to read your AI visibility score

The score is the share of AI answers that name your brand. It is a simple number on purpose: you can compare it with a competitor, or with your own result next month.

  • Mentioned in most answers: AI engines already treat you as a default option. Keep the sources they rely on current.
  • Mentioned in some: you are known but not the default. The questions where you are missing show which topics to work on first.
  • Mentioned in none: common for newer and smaller brands. The brands recommended instead show who currently owns those answers.

A mention is not the same as a citation. Engines often name a brand without linking to it, and link to pages that don't name you at all. The free check counts mentions; a CiteCycle account also tracks which sources each engine cites.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI visibility checker?

An AI visibility checker measures whether AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude mention your brand when people ask questions about your market. Search rankings tell you where you appear in Google; AI visibility tells you whether you are part of the answer itself.

How is the score calculated?

Your score is the share of AI answers that name your brand, out of every answer the engines returned. With five questions and three engines that is up to 15 answers. A brand counts as mentioned when its name or domain appears in the answer text.

Which AI engines does it check?

ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, each with its own web search switched on so the answers reflect what those assistants find today, not only their training data.

Is it really free?

Yes. You can run a few checks a day without an account, and a recent result for the same website is shown again for free. To track your brand every week, read the full answers and see which sources the AI cites, create a free CiteCycle account.

Why would ChatGPT recommend my competitors and not me?

AI engines lean on the pages they can find and trust: comparison lists, reviews, community threads and well-structured product pages. If those sources name your competitors and not you, the answer usually does the same. Getting onto those sources is how visibility improves.

Will I get the same result every time?

Not exactly. AI answers vary from one run to the next, which is why a single check is a snapshot. Weekly tracking across the same questions shows the trend that a one-off check cannot.

Track it every week

CiteCycle asks your customers' questions every week, shows who the AI mentions and cites, and turns each gap into an action.
